Bensdorp's Royal Dutch Cocoa soda fountain tin, with two paper labels on the front; one reads "37" and second reads Brewer & Co. Wholesale Druggist and Importers, in Worscester, Mass. Business started in 1897. Cocoa product was developed by Gerard Bensdorp in 1840 in the Netherlands. Gold leaf lettering on RP is worn, underneath paper labels is B & C trademark of Royal Dutch Cocoa. This large Advertising Tin is 9 1/4" tall, 5 3/4" diameter, cylindrical shape has lift off lid. Tin was originally sealed with fabric tape, evident at top rim. Backside has clear readable instructions for Chocolate Syrup recipe for soda fountains. Some wear and scratches. All sides shown.
