Bensdorp's Royal Dutch Cocoa tin, soda fountain canister, a large Advertising Tin, 9 1/4" tall, cylindrical 5 3/4" diameter with original lift off lid, tin was originally sealed at the top with printed on fabric tape as a seal, reading "The Manufacturers Only Guarantee These Sealed Tins Bearing the Original Label with their Trademark " and sealed with company logo. Cocoa was first produced in 1840 by founder Gerard Bensdorp in Bussum, Netherlands. Lettering is gold leafed outlined in black, with company trademark in printed gold leaf and company logo. The backside contains recipe and directions for making chocolate syrup for soda fountains. Slight bulge on side seam. Overall condition, colors and lettering are very good.
