Antique oil lamp circa 1890, table lamp overall height to top of chimney is 19 1/2" tall, to top of shade is 16 3/4", This table Lamp is hard paste porcelain fired and glazed base is 8" tall, 5" diameter at the bottom with shaped body, light green porcelain with two white thumbprint borders outline in thin line of gold leaf. There are two hand painted medallion areas. One with a young boy and girl; a small bird is perched on his hand and she is holding a bird cage. On the opposite side is older boy and girl. He is dressed in red beret and cape, she is dressed in gown and is holding a hand held fan. Hand painted fancy scrolling in gold leaf outlines both medallion areas. Some wear to the gold. Connecting the two scenes are hand painted Art Nouveau stylized lattice. The lamp has duplex burners, double riser brass and porcelain knobs, brass threaded collar, brass burners that screw to brass lamp collar, brass chimney holder with clover leaf pattern fence, chimney is clear glass 10", it fits properly to holder. Shade is 7 1/4" tall frosted glass with acid etched Art Nouveau design, cranberry flash ruffled rim. It fits properly to brass shade ring. See photos. NO chips, crack or repairs. Lamp will be shipped in two boxes, both fully insure. Estimate for shade is 5 pounds, 12" square box. Base box estimate is 16" by 12" square 8 pounds.
