Electric advertising clock for Tetley Tea made by the Sessions Clock Co., Forestville, Conn. The original motor runs very quiet and keeps perfect time. The square metal case measures 14 1/2" by 14 1/2" by 3" deep. The original square metal dial measures 13". The dial is in excellent plus condition. The 9 foot cord I believe is a replacement. The clock retains the original dial, hands, glass, and hand set knob. The metal case has NO dents, scratches or defects. The case was re-sprayed with the correct Royal Blue paint. I have owned several of these over the years, but never one this good. Most of these the original motor is worn out and the Advertising on the dial is in poor condition. This is a very nice original example that keeps excellent time. I have run and tested the clock for over one month before offering it for sale. This would make a stunning decorative Clock for your Kitchen. See photos.

Some additional information to assist you in purchasing a good clock. The Value of a Antique Clock is directly attributed to RESTORED CONDITION & ORIGINALITY.
Saying the restoration work was performed and actually performing the restoration work by a knowledgeable clockmaker are two different issues. The vast percentage of old clocks have a great deal of wear and should be completely disassembled for cleaning. This is the only way one can inspect for wear and then eliminate all the friction created by the wear. The statement "Professionally Cleaned", means absolutely nothing. Simply dumping the clock movement into a can of Carburetor cleaner to wash off the dirt will not eliminate years of wear. Yes, the clock may run for a few months with a healthy dose of WD-40. This is not proper clock servicing.
Questions you need to ask is the clock or watch movement original to the case, what has been replaced and has the clock movement been properly restored, then request this information in writing. When the terms such as "Good Running Order", "Running", "Runs Great" generally means the clock is not keeping time and probably will not, this also means it has not been properly restored. Therefore you will need to spend several hundred dollars to have the clock put right. These few tips will save you some serious problems and money.
