Wood advertising box from F. A. Hardy New York. MINT condition, complete with sliding lid and dovetail construction, NO damage. The box was used to mail a pair of eye glasses from New York to Mrs. Webster in Whiting, Vermont. It is difficult to make out the date on the cancelled postage stamp. The stamps bears the head of Washington in profile looking to the left, with 6 CENTS 6 along the bottom. Issued in 1911- 1912. A very good item if you collect boxes, eye glass or optical items. See photos.
