Cast Iron Clock, a Clipper Ship, perfect for shelf, mantle or desk. This solid cast iron sailing ship is very similar style, size and design as many door stops; it could be from the same foundry. Original finish, excellent patina. Clock is 11 1/2" tall by 10 1/2" wide. Circa 1900. The original 30 hour movement was beyond repair. A new quartz movement has been fitted to the original dial, bezel and glass crystal. Brass has been polished and sealed. This clock is an exception to the standard clipper ship door stop mold in that it is designed to be a clock. The quartz clock is an accurate timekeeper, quiet with no audible ticking sound. The clock is accurate within a few seconds a month, runs one year on a single battery. We can install a new battery for $6 if you desire. No damage or repairs to the iron case or finish. 80 Antique Clocks to choose from, ALL ON SALE.
