The original 30 hour movement was well beyond repair. It is now fitted with a German micro quartz movement and runs for one year on an "N" battery. Battery not included they are readily available. The time keeping accuracy is within a few seconds a month. Clock case is 11" tall, 9" wide, the dial is 2" diameter. Clock is in very fine condition, ,it is a real antique clock that is now a functional and practical decorative piece. NO damage and NO repairs to the case.
All the cast spelter or white metal cases were originally copper plated then gold plated. None of these figural or novelty clocks were ever made of solid brass, bronze or copper, regardless of who the American maker was or who said it is. They simply cannot be polished and spray painting the case destroys the value. See last photos for some but not all of our restored antique clocks to can choose from.
