Unopened PINEX Throat Medicine Unopened original box, retailed for 75 cents, 2 1/2 fluid ounce size, box is 5 7/8" tall, 1 1/8" by 2", corners are crisp. This item is from an antique drugstore that closed many years ago in New York. This unopened Pinex concentrate when mixed would make pint of throat medicine. Label includes instructions for mixing the syrup concentrate with water and sugar. Box also contains list of ingredients. In 1910 Pinex could be purchase in most drugstores in the USA. The company was started in 1905 and manufactured in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The proprietary amber glass bottle is 6" tall, made by the Fairmount Glass Co., of Fairmount, Indiana. The side is embossed with PINEX trademark. Bottle has metal twist off top with PINEX printed in silver. See photo. This item is being sold for display only and NOT for consumption or use.
