Advertising Coffee tin for Mothers Joy, this is a one pound with screw off lid. Made by American Stores Company, of Philadelphia, PA. American Stores was incorporated in 1917 when the Acme Tea Co merged with 4 small Philadelphia grocery stores. This is an early tin circa 1925 and in this condition is exceptional. Tin is cylindrical, 5 3/4" tall x 4 1/4" diameter. The condition of the tin is excellent to near mint, no rust or dents, original embossed lid, colors and graphics are great, a few very minor nicks and scratches, looks better in person. See photos. The tin has been cleaned and waxed. This is a very difficult tin to find and especially in excellent condition.
