Humidor, Noritake Porcelain Art Nouveau Hand Painted, container is 3 3/4" square, 5 3/8" tall, with flange lid that insets on lip of humidor body. White porcelain, design is hand painted Art Nouveau flowers and border. Border lines, rim and edges are gold leafed. Backstamp is #27, green M in wreath. Circa 1920 - 1929. Humidor is also featured in JVP book. See photos. The lid has a large knob. It was designed this way so that in the interior of this area a cork could be inserted to absorb moisture and ensure the tobacco remained fresh. Damage free, NO chips, cracks, breaks, or repairs. Excellent condition and quality.
