Antique table lamp, hand painted obverse scenic glass shade, overall lamp is 19" tall, 7" base diameter, shade is 14" in diameter. Please read complete description and view all photos they are included as part of the description. This old shade is hand painted, a panorama of woodlands, a farm and streams. Lamp shade is perfect; no damage, cracks, chips, touch up to paint or even any flaking of the paint on the glass shade. The glass shade was first frosted, then etched and finally painted on the the outside of the shade, hence the term "obverse painted". This glass shade is old and is original to the base. There is no maker's mark on the base or the shade. However, due to the high quality of the hand painted shade I would attribute it to Pittsburgh. The base is solid brass which was professionally polished and sealed and has an adjustable shade elevator like many of the Pittsburgh bases. Color and condition of the paint is absolutely mint. See photos. The solid brass base has a spider web impression with a 1/8" dent. It is very difficult to see and I have tried to photograph it. The lamp has been rewired with silk wrapped cord.
