Nippon Porcelain celery set, complete with master dish and six salts, Art Nouveau pattern matching on all dishes. At the turn of the century fine dining accessories were imperative. This celery set would have been a must. Master celery dish is 13 1/4" long and 6" at the widest. Shape is similar to an ark. There is 1/8" black and white diaper, a 1" border of floral swags and gold perpendicular lines, and 1/8" circle and dot diaper in black and white. All borders are delineated with gold leaf outlining. The master has pierced handles and the dish is outlined in gold leaf, some wear. The six individual salts have similar, on a smaller scale, floral swags and gold lines. Salts are 3 1/2" long, 2 1/4" wide. Damage free, no chips, cracks, breaks or repairs. All pieces are backstamped in blue with "tree crest" (Komaru) symbol #180. Circa 1906 - 1908. See photos.
