Original Antique Hanging Hall lamp antique pendant light, single light fixture, glass shade is acid etched balloon shape, with brass bell shaped ceiling canopy. It has an in-line off on switch. The pendant stems are brass attached to 5" long, 1 1/2" oval link chain. Brass shade holder is ventilated to allow for bulb heat to escape. Suspended shade is secured with three thumb screws. Has inline switch and porcelain socket. Glass globes were made by and one is clearly marked Anchor Hocking. Circa 1870 - 1900. Shades are 8" tall, 4" diameter flange, the widest part of the balloon is 6" diameter. Base has bull’s eye. NO cracks or chips. Glass is clean and clear. One shade is very clearly marked Anchor Hocking. The other shade marking is faint. I.J. Collin was the founder of Hocking Glass Co. He also worked for the Phoenix Glass Co. of Monaca, Pa. Collin later bought out the Phoenix Glass Co. These shades were hand blown, there are no seams. The lip/flange is where the hot glass was snapped off and then the lip was ground and polished. Other evidence that these shades were hand blown is slight differences in size and width. No negatives with these shades. See photos. Guaranteed old.
