Celery Set Nippon Porcelain White and Gold Pattern 5 Pieces, master dish with 4 matching salts in White and Gold Pattern. The celery dish is 13 1/4" long, 5 3/5" wide, individual salts are 3 5/8" long, 2 1/4" wide. The porcelain is white with high relief gold outlining of stylized flowers and leaves. All edges on dishes have gold leaf along the rims. Excellent condition, it is MINT. NO damage, chips, cracks, breaks or repairs. Backstamp on all pieces in the this celery set are in blue, backstamp #180, "tree crest" or Komaru symbol used in 1906 - 1908. See photos. We also have other serving sets (coffee, chocolate, cake, relish, nut, and mayo) in White and Gold patterns for sale. This is definitely a celery set, not to be confused with relish sets which are 7" or shorter and rounded or oval shaped instead of boat or tray shaped. Because this set's floral design is done only in gold it is one of the earlier white and gold sets. The later ones have accent coloring in leaves or flowers, often red, orange, green or blue. Noritake still is producing the white and gold series.
