Roly Poly tin the SINGER, a reissue of original the Singing Waiter. This tin was made in 1979, it is marked on the bottom Patent Applied For. Stands 6 3/4" tall, 5 1/2" diameter in the middle, top lifts off. Tin has been cleaned and waxed. Excellent colors, no fading, it has two thumb size dents on the bottom, only visible from inside of container.
As shown in the photo, on the backside, Dixie Queen Plug Cut is advertised. Originally American Tobacco controlled Tindeco (tin container manufacturer), as well as the brands of tobacco sold in these tins. Each container held about 1 lb of tobacco, and some had the brand names Mayo’s or Dixie Queen appearing on the backside.
