Fry's Cocoa Extract tin, 6" tall, 3" square, colorful Art Nouveau floral four sided decoration also the same pattern is on the top and the lid. Gold is still bright , minimal wear for a circa 1870 – 1880 tin. The bottom of the tin, shown in photos, has directions for making a cup of cocoa. NO dings or dents to the tin. J. S. Fry & Sons was established in 1822 and was the largest British producer and chocolate company. In 1919 it changed its name to the British Cocoa and Chocolate Co.
