Austrian weight drive wall clock signed Andreas U. Dworsky, Karlstein, Austria. A rare small size porcelain dial Austrian clock. Circa 1840-1860 . Dial is 9 1/2" by 7". The porcelain dial is MINT and marked on the back. The signed movement is a 30 hour duration with hour and half hour chime. The movement has brass gears that have brass bushings in the wood plates. The clock was disassembled and serviced. It appears that the clock has had very little use; almost no wear. The clock runs and chimes flawlessly. Both of the hinged side access doors have their original latches. Both weights are old and appear to be original. This is an exceptional clock for the advanced collector. See photos. This clock will ship very economically either FEDEX or USPS.

A SIDE NOTE: To assist you in purchasing an Antique Clock.
The value of an Antique Clock is directly attributed to RESTORED CONDITION & ORIGINALITY. Saying the restoration work was performed and actually performing the restoration work by a knowledgeable clockmaker are two different issues. The vast majority of old clocks have a great deal of wear and should be completely disassembled for cleaning. This is the only way one can inspect for wear and then eliminate all the friction created by the wear.
The latest misconception about clock servicing stating that the clock was "Professionally Cleaned", means absolutely nothing. Simply dumping the clock movement into a can of Carburetor cleaner to wash off the dirt will not eliminate years of wear. Yes, the clock may run for a few months with a healthy dose of WD-4; however, this is not proper clock servicing.
If the movement in not original to the case, known as a Marriage, it can not be assigned any Antique Value. The only value that can be assigned is for the sum of the parts for this Un-Wholly Marriage".
Questions you need to ask are:
1. Is the clock or watch movement original to the case?
2. What has been replaced and has the clock movement been properly restored? Request this information in writing. When the terms such as "Good Running Order", "Running", or "Runs Great" are used this generally means the clock is not keeping time and probably will not, this also means it has not been properly restored. Therefore, you will need to spend several hundred dollars to have the clock put right.
These few tips will save you some serious problems and money.
