Antique Candle stand or table, Please read the full descriptions, American tiger maple, solid wood. The top is a single 1" thick board, 16 5/8" by 17 1/8", shaped 8 sided. The top, legs, and center pillar are solid tiger maple. This stand is circa 1840 American. There are no breaks in the delicate legs or splits on the top. The old finish was done over a long time age and it is starting to lightly craze. The top is original to the base. The legs are dovetailed into the center pillar. An iron bracket was added underneath for support some time in it's long life. This is not unusual. There is a nick on the back foot at the bottom which is not noticeable. Structurally this piece is sound and solid. Height is 28" tall. Made in the New England area. An excellent piece of Americana. I have a correct size box to pack the table in. I do not charge for the box or packing material. What ever Fedex or the post office charges me is what you will pay.
