Antique Time Card Rack, this is for clocking “IN”. Workers were required to 'clock' themselves, by punching a card and recording the time. The time cards were stored in these racks until you 'clocked' yourself out of work at the end of your shift. The time card was then placed in the “OUT” rack. Some factories had two racks, one for IN cards and another for OUT. This IN rack comes with MINT original unused time cards. This wall mount rack, circa 1900, is solid oak has very clean original finish that has been cleaned and waxed. Rack has a brass wall bracket, 50 card slots, 23 time cards. Overall size is 35 ½” by 9” by 2 ½”, weighs 9 pounds before packing. We have two antique time recorder clocks that this would have accompanied 120 years ago. NO damage. The number 57 is missing.
We have sold racks like this in the past as recipe card holders. Women have hung them in their kitchen as displays for recipes. Very clever idea and contemporary use. We have two for sale. Also in oak the second rack is the “OUT” version punch card time card rack. Soon to be listed is a double card rack. See photos, they are part of the description.
