Advertising Talc Tin, six sided tin, McKesson’s Talc for Men, drugstore pharmacy item, 4 ¾” tall, 2 ½” by 1 ½”, contains original contents, 2 ounce weight, made by McKesson & Robbins, Inc. of New York and Bridgeport, in business since 1853. Container is marked Made in USA and Tindeco. Has original Black Bakelite twist off cap. Backside states “ an invisible after shave talc, soothing and Non-irritating…..”. Condition is very good, no dents, tin has some shelf life wear and rub marks on seam lines. Circa 1940. See photos. One of many we have listed ON SALE.
The Tin Decorating Company of Baltimore, or Tindeco for short, factory was located on Baltimore’s waterfront. It began making tins primarily for the American Tobacco Company beginning in June 1914. They were also known for talcum powder tins.
