Country high chair for doll, seat is hand painted with floral folk art, 19 ½” tall, 8” by 8 ¾” measuring the legs at the base, shaped seat is 7 ¼” by 7 ¾”, 11” from the bottom. Back posts, legs, arm rest and arm supports are turned; spindles, cross rails and stretchers are round, plank seat has rounded corners. The actual seating area wood plank seat is 5 1/4” across the front tapering to 4 3/4” at the back, arm rests are elevated 4” from the seat, back is 7 1/4” to top cross spindle. Excellent condition original painted surfaces of red and blue, seat has aged appearance but it was painted or enhanced within past 20 years. Chair is circa 1920. NO repairs, solid, level and sturdy. There is no semblance that a tray ever existed on this chair or that it had a foot rest.
