Wall Clock, large 17” diameter, 4” deep with an 11 1/2” diameter original dial. Made by the Standard Electric Time Co., of Springfield, Massachusetts. The metal case was completely restored, 4 coats of automotive grade gold and clear coated with two coats of Lacquer. The dial has been sealed to prevent any additional flaking. The original slave movement was replaced with a new high torque quartz movement. The slave movement was not capable of operating on its own. It required a large Master clock which sent electrical impulses every minute to a group of slave clocks. NO damage to the metal case. The dial has minimal wear at 10. This very attractive wall clock runs and keeps accurate time to within a few seconds a month. See photos.
At Drury House Antiques we offer over 80 original restored Antique Clocks. We also have a large selection of affordable Antique wall and mantel clocks that are fitted with efficient quartz movements. Some of These clocks were converted because their movements were beyond repair or the movement was missing. All are being retailed at a fraction of an original restored Antique clock. See photos.
