Howdy Soda Bottle, Please read the full description, Price is per bottle, size 9 1/4” tall, 2 1/2” diameter at the base, and crown tops. We have two light green color bottles that have been cleaned. Generic labels 4” by 2 1/4” are in excellent condition, no rips or tears. Over the years there were many different flavors. This label is one of the earlier when they first developed lemon lime. Identical bottles were made by two different glass bottlers. One is the NBBG Co., North Baltimore Bottle Glass Co. in business in the Indiana area until 1933. There is a small chip on outside lip. Since the company focused on the manufacture of beer and soda bottles, it was hit hard by national Prohibition and struggled to remain in business until 1933. The markings are on the reverse heel of the bottle. The other bottle made by the American Bottle Co. 1905 – 1929) a consolidation of many MidWest makers. When purchasing let us know which maker you would like. See photos.
“Howdy” Soda was produced by the Pioneer Bottle Works in Davenport, Washington. Howdy was considered the “original creator of the lemon-lime category.” Pioneer Bottle Works was started in 1904 by Arthur Einbeck and his wife Emma in Davenport, Washington. The business was successful and as it expanded, customers were able to order their soda delivered by wagon and then by truck and train. Pioneer Bottle Works serviced communities along the railroad routes of the Northern Pacific and Great Northern Railroads.

Do you collect soda, beer, alcohol bottles, Pharmacy, Drugstore bottles? Well we have a large selection, over 80 listed. We acquired boxes of old bottles from the basement of an old country store and Pharmacy. In storage for many years was a wide assortment of soda, beer, pharmacy, drugstore, and old empty liquor bottles. Some had labels on them, many labels had fallen off and were in the bottom of the box. We have cleaned the bottles and tried to affix labels to the right bottle. Surprisingly the labels are in very good condition.
