Antique brass bucket, pail or pot for cooking, spun brass had hand hammered finished, aged patina, circa 1900, large and heavy, 9 1/2” tall, 14 3/4” diameter at the top tapers to 11 1/2” at the bottom. Interior has oxidation on the bottom, there is a dent in the side at the bottom that shows brass fracture but it has been closed tightly. Not soldered. Heavy cast iron handle hanger is riveted, pig’s tail iron bale extends beyond rim when resting. Bottom is domed, completely natural design for cooking pots of this era. No makers marks.
