Edward Howard, Boston, Mass. Slave Clock, Please read the full description, the clock runs and keeps time. Clock is 14 1/2” diameter, 3 1/2” deep with and 11 1/2” diameter Roman Numeral dial. Originally these industrial wall clocks were incapable of operating on their own. They required a large Master Wall clock that sent out electrical impulses every minute to a series of “Slave” clocks. This is the reason they have been lovingly refereed to as a Slave Clock, not because they were owned by a poor old slave. The clock is now fitted with a new high torque battery movement with a center sweep second hand. This is a smooth sweep second hand, it is not jerky. The two tone metal alloy case was cleaned and lightly polished, then sealed. Not only is the dial marked E. Howard, the rear dust cover is also marked. This is a very accurate timekeeping clock. NO Damage, No Dents to the case, glass is original. This is one of 3 Howard Industrial Slave Clocks that came from the same location in Boston. All 3 are listed and all 3 are on sale. All 3 had the dials sent out for restoration. See photos.
