Co of Philadelphia, Pa. base is 6 3/4" " long, 5 1/4"" tall measured to top of handle, 3 1/2" widest area of base , iron has shaped double point ends designed to make ironing easier, polished cast iron, has wood detachable handle, design was patented May 19 1896, forged iron stretcher with heavy screw to ensure "locked in" position. No Damage, No Rust, wood handle is perfect. It functions properly, most importantly securely fastening to or unfastening from iron base. A must have for turn of the century housekeeping. Lightly cleaned and waxed it is in excellent condition. Perfect today for kitchen or laundry room accessory, and heavy enough as a doorstop.
