Two tone alloy round step back wall clock by E. Howard, Boston, Mass. 14 1/2” diameter with a 11 1/2” diameter Roman numeral dial. The case was cleaned, lightly polished, then sealed to prevent tarnishing. The clock is pretty much in the condition as purchased. The clock is fitted with a new high torque smooth center sweep second hand movement. It will run for one year on a single battery. Accuracy is within a few seconds a month. The date of Jan. 13, 1939 I believe is when the clock was converted from slave to electric. The clock is much older. The old glass is clean and chip free. The case is near mint, NO dents, NO scratches. At the top back edge is a small dent from hanging it on a nail. There is a proper hanger on the back. The old dust cover and dial are marked E. Howard Boston. This is a very attractive industrial wall clock. Predominately used in Railway stations, banks, schools and factories. In its original state as a slave clock it could only function when an impulse from a large Master clock was sent out every minute to a group of these clocks. On their own these clocks were incapable of running as a functional clock. We have several restored Slave clocks in various configurations, all have been converted to quartz. Battery not included.
