Table lamp with a signed Vianne frosted and acid etched glass shade. Please read complete description and view all photos they are included as part of the description. Shade is 12" diameter. Clear glass, half dome shaped, raised floral Art Nouveau pattern. Vianne glass factory was founded in 1928 in the Bordeaux region. Known for excellent quality, the glass shades were hand made and blown by local artisan and experts that immigrated. A program was initiated so that young Master glass-blowers of Bohemia could leave Czechoslovakia to transmit their working method to Vianne. They proudly listed as having over 4000 moulds that could be used to make over 9000 shapes. It was also stated that they could produce over 3000 colors and tints. Vianne Glass Company of France, was among the biggest glass companies in France. Vianne produced hand blown glass and was the last surviving glass company in France to do so. Production progressed for 70+ years until the factory closed in 2005. Today their fixtures are more desirable than ever. The lamp is very heavy, base is made of cast metal 7" square, column is solid brass. Overall lamp stands 19" tall. The lamp has been fully restored and rewired and works perfectly. For safe shipping lamp and base will be packed and shipped separately. Guaranteed old and original this shade is not part of the factory sell off of parts and shades, and it is NOT a chinese reproduction. See photos. Base and shade would be shipped separately.
