SOLD See 100+ more items currently for sale at Drury House Antiques Capsolin sample, in original box with accompanying multi language pamphlet, collapsible metal dispensing tube has wrap around paper label with directions for use and ingredients listed. Original contents and metal twist off cap. Item is for display only, not for use or consumption. Made by Parke-Davis Co., Detroit, Michigan USA. Label and box also have 1906 Guaranty No.6 under the Food and Drug Act of June 30, 1906. As early as 1904 advertisements in the National Druggist listed it as a comparatively new product….. predicting it would be a big seller and encouraging stocking it. In 1906 it was referenced in Therapeutic Notes journal. The 1907 National Druggist publication promised to bring business to “your prescription department”. Capsolin was a rubefacient preferable to mustard plasters and linaments. Box is 2 3/4” long, 3/4” square, printed on all five sides, fold over on one end is missing. See photos.
