MAB Cleanser, sample advertising tin, circa 1920’s, a Utah product, promoted as a made in Utah by Utah material by Utah men. Tin is 2 5/8" tall, 3 1/4" diameter, never opened, lift off metal top with inscribed X’s indicating where to punch holes in the lid,has wrap around paper label, with directions and uses. Original patent applied for in 1918. Subsequently advertised 1919 in the Young Woman’s Journal, as available at dealers. A huge promotion was undertaken in 1920 extolling the merits of MABS and how it was going worldwide in sales. After success sales in Salt Lake City, W. S. Lewis president of the Mab Manufacturing Co. was offering shares of stock opportunities to citizens of Ogden. Part of their sales pitch was “Call for a sample". See photos.
