Drugstore or pharmacy circa 1920 advertising VINCO Herb Tablets, only TWO (2) small packets are left, the large one shown in photo it sold. The small packets are $6 each. Originally retailed 6 tablets for 10 cents, product of the Vinco Herb Company, Dayton, Ohio. Cardboard boxes have original contents and include a printed pamphlet with instructions for use.. Item is for display only and not use or consumption. Exterior is printed in multiple languages for users. Package is a white box with blue printing, small 6 tablet packet is 2 1/4" by 3/8"by 1 1/4", packets are considered pocket or purse size. Vinco Herb Tablets were advertised as a Laxative for men, women and children. The bottom of the box lists the ingredients, dosage, and price.
The Vinco Herb Company started in Dayton, Ohio. Advertisements for the tablets were used in the 1920s. The company had misbranding lawsuits by the FDA in 1927, 1930, 1931, and 1940. There is a Vinco Inc. today, which has been around for over 35 years, but it is not clear if they are related. See photos.
