SOLD Standard Electric Time Co. Clock Springfield Massachusetts
SOLD, but we have 80 Restored Antique Clocks to choose from, Standard Electric Time Co. Clock from Springfield, Mass. Solid oak case wall clock is 15 1/2” square, 3 1/2” deep, with 11 1/2” diameter pristine original dial. The case was professionally refinished with 6 coats of finish, rubbed out between coats, then 3 coats of cabinet wax applied. Case has wonderful oak grain, a deep satin to semi gloss finish. Circa 1910 to 1915. The Antique Clock is Damage Free and was apparently used in a school. The original bell ringing assembly is still intact, although not operational. This is one of several different versions of industrial Slave clocks we have listed. They were properly referred to as slave clocks due to their dependency to operate on electrical impulses sent out every minute from a large Master clock to multiple Slave clocks, in a series of connections. These clocks were found in most schools, Rail Roads, factories, banks, and in other industrial buildings. They were not capable of running and keep time on their own. Without an accompanying Master Clock configuration they could not operated independently. Now fitted, without any alterations to the case or dial it keeps perfect and accurate time with a new Seiko high torque movement. It will keep time within seconds a month and operates on a single battery for one year. NO negatives, No damage, a very attractive and reliable antique wall clock. Practical and efficient it operates on it's own, no winding necessary. We have over 80+ Antique Clocks to choose from. See photos.
