Milk glass satin finish base with bisque background with hand painted flowers. Shaped base is 6” tall, 5 ¼” diameter at the bottom, ½” elevation to sculpted 1 ¼”ring surround, , shoulder has fan collar, brass collar connects base to font, oil lamp burner is NO. 2 Socony in brass, wick knob is also marked Socony Made in USA, four prongs to hold chimney in place. Clear glass chimney with beaded rim is 8” tall. It fits properly, no damage, scratch free. There could be a makers mark on the bottom however I can’t clearly read it.

Socony was created in 1882 and made lamps starting in late 1890's. Socony is trade name for STANDARD OIL COMPANY OF NEW YORK who built brass burners to promote the sale of kerosene.
