South Bend split bamboo fly fishing rod, completely restored by the previous owner. NO damage. Assembled length 9 feet, 3 piece rod with 2 tips. Total of 4 pieces of flamed bamboo, all sections are straight, no sets even when assembled. The original cork grip retains the classic South Bend thumb indentation. The name was lost during restoration. All four sections are the same original length, 36 1/2". The cane and the finish is immaculate, no cracks in any of the ferrules or reel seat. All guides and red silk wraps are perfect, NO rust on the guides. NO damage to the cork. Everything fits together and separates correctly with a pop. The rod has a very nice medium action. Perfect for casting large May flies, streamers and double nymph rigs with strike indicators. I am unable to line the rod due to poor weather conditions here in Vermont. I would evaluate this to be a nice medium 6 wt. The rod comes with a non original rod sock and will be shipped via a PVC tube or Priority Mail tube. See photos. This is NOT a wall hanger, a very fishable fly rod. A good fly rod restorer would charge $150 to $200 for this level of restoration.
