Etruscan Revival Micro Mosaic Tulip Flower 14K Gold Victorian Brooch

What a striking brooch this is! A true beauty that makes an elegant statement. Suitable for a man or woman to wear! Dating from the 1860-80's. More than likely made in Italy. It is a fine example of such craftsmanship. The shield form brooch is made of 14K gold. There are no hallmarks present which is common on pieces of such antiquity. Item has been tested and is 14K gold. It consist of super fine chain work that is roped around the solid base. Top is adorned with a lovely micro mosaic. It depicts a tulip or lily flower. Beautifully rendered in an array of colors. Brooch measures just over 1 inch wide. The mosaic panel measures 1/2 an inch wide. This beauty is ready to be worn and admired. A most welcomed addition to your collection!

In very good antique condition. Slight wave to pin as expected with use. Shield has light wave but this is part of it being handmade. All sound and well cared for. Some fleabite nicks present to black mosaic boarder as seen in the photos. Not noticed when worn. At top boarder where rope ends there is a tiny segment that has one rope. This is where the jeweler ended. It is not missing but made that way. Again not noticed I am just super picky with detail and noted for accuracy.
