So eye catching and simply elegant! This beaded strand will make quite the statement. I absolutely love Scottish banded agates! This variety is known as bullseye. They exhibit various shades of brown with a central white band. In most indoor lighting they appear dark and in the sunlight the transparency appears. Largest center bead measures 19.04mm wide. The ones on either side are approximately 15.65mm wide. They taper down to 12.60mm at the back. Separated by faceted rock crystal beads. Necklace measures 24 inches long when laid down flat. Due to the size of beads it wears like a 22 1/2 inch necklace. It's combined total weight is 111 grams. Dating from the Victorian / Edwardian era.
Necklace is in well cared for condition. Some beads do show internal inclusion and hairlines. A few have pitting surface nicks. All common and expected with ones of such antiquity. Nothing that deters from this beauty! You'll be delighted adding this to your fine collection. Please examine photos and ask all questions prior to purchase. Thank you!
