Victorian 14k Gold Antique Snake Ring

Now here's a fun slithering snake ring! Dating from the Victorian / Edwardian era. Crafted from 14k yellow gold. There is no hallmark which is common on pieces of such antiquity. Metal has been tested to ensure its purity. It does however bear the maker's hallmark which is a D within a diamond shape. The design is two snakes that wrap around the center stone. I believe it may be a spinel or a man-made ruby stone. When tested with the stone reader it went in that range. Width of stone is 8 mm. Setting is 12.45 mm wide and the band tapers down to 3.35 mm at the bottom. Ring is a size 9 3/4 but could easily be resized by your trusted jeweler. In very good antique condition. Some surface wear to the snake scale engraving which is always seen with ones of this age. This ring feels very comfortable when worn and is perfect for a man or woman.
