Today we have a “rare” child's Tea Set that was made in Germany with Rose O’Neills Kewpie Designs that dates from the 1930’s. This lovely set is in excellent vintage condition with a total of 7 - cups, 6-saucers, 6-dessert plates, 1-sugar, 1-creamer and 1-teapot with one extra cup. I am not sure if this set was sold with (4) or (6) cups when it was first sold. I can assume that there were additional pieces added later to the set that are matching. The little set has a flaw on the front on the teapot that looks like a candle was too close to the teapot and stained it - please see the dark circle on the face of the teapot, the back of the teapot has a kewpie and no stains so it can be displayed. There is a two little black kiln specs on the sugar holder but other than those issues there set is free from cracks and ill repairs.
There is one saucer that is very light in color please see image #7. Other than the little set being extremely dusty this is an excellent set. It looks like bone china as it is see through when held up to the light. Each piece is signed at the bottom and each piece has kewpies on it - accept the cup saucers. Please examine the images of this item, let me know if you have any questions or if you need additional pictures. Thank you for looking!
