Today I am listing another one of my most favorite dolls - the composition Effanbee Patsykin doll from the 1930’s. This little precious angel is in excellent vintage condition, note: not perfect but overall in excellent condition from her head to toes. Don’t miss out on this one - if you have been wanting a Baby Patsykin’s she’s your doll.
Patsy is properly marked on the base of her neck and on her back: Effanbee Patsy Baby. She is a 5 part strung composition doll that has been restrung so she poses excellently with her articulated joints and it should last another 40+ years. Patsy has excellent or high coloring on her cheeks, knees, elbows, torso and the backs of her hands with blush - too adorable. She has all of her painted features - including her eyebrows and eyelashes and the red dots at the corners of her eyes and nostrils. She has a little button nose and pouty mouth and chubby cheeks - too cute,
Patsy has some craze lines here and there throughout her body and chipping paint at her joints. She has a tiny chip of paint on her right-hand pinky where her original brass tag hangs - please see the image of her facing right - image # 6 and zoom in if you can. I inspected the area and it isn’t threatening or takes away from this little doll. She has a perfect molded blonde head that has some discoloration at the back, no crazing on her head - just a few lines here and there on her face. She has some missing paint here and there, at her finger-tips, joints, around her neck and some on one leg again nothing that takes away from her what-so- ever. I am picky about composition and to me, she is beautiful and is in display-ready condition and excellent for her age. I love her clear root beer color eyes, she is missing all of her hair eyelashes but again you don’t notice that. She has very teeny tiny craze lines or slight cracks at each eye; left eye it’s near the bottom lid and the right eye at the top lid -zoom in if you can.
Patsy’s pink and white dress is overall in great condition does need a little TLC or left as is - I will leave that up to her new mommy. It’s her original dress and bonnet and is very old, the lace on the color is coming away from the organza material in two places, and one sleeve has a tear at the top. I only ironed the outfit and thought it best not to amend or alter the dress. The dress other than the lace coming away at the seam and sleeve is very clean no stains. Her little bonnet is stretched out a bit but again in excellent clean condition. Her undies and socks are replacements. She will come with her pink & white receiving blanket that is in a vintage rose pattern and her little wooden bunny, and everything that you see her wearing. Please examine her images. If you would like additional images or have questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you for looking.
