This is a blue and white salt glazed stoneware bowl that is number 11 on the bottom for its 11 inch diameter measurement. Bowl is 5 1/2 inches tall. Nice substantial bowl that displays attractively. Salt glazed stoneware was popular from the late 1800s to the early 1900s. I have heard them referred to as crock bowls by others. The bowl has no major chips or cracks. There are factory firing flaws and areas where the glaze has popped off on the inside of the bowl. A very nice example of early stoneware ware for your consideration.
