This is a pewter sculpture created by artist Michael A. Ricker. It is titled The Black Bears and is number 399 of a limited casting of 750. Beautifully detailed, this sculptor will certainly compliment the sportsman's collection, would look great in a den, or cabin setting. Sculpture base is marble and measures 9 inches long by 5 1/2 inches wide. Mother bear is 6 1/2 inches long. Total with both base and bear is 5 3/4 inches high. Base is covered with green felt. Very heavy piece. Ricker was born September 15, 1940. He was an accomplished sculpture and artist throughout his lifetime. He was especially drawn to sculpting in pewter and created many pieces. His beautiful creation City Park was presented to President Gerald Ford. Ricker was very active in supporting charities such as the American Cancer Society, Children's Diabetes, Make a Wish, and more. Ricker passed away January 7, 2006 from a brain aneurysm. Wonderful opportunity to own one of Ricker's delightful creations. Certificate of casting will be included.
