These little pigs were often given away at fairs and were called fairings. Some were used as souvenir gifts or simply sold as giftware. They were quite popular in the early 1900s. This little pig is seated in an upright position and is peering out taking in the view. The cup has morning exercise printed across the front. The pig and cup measure 2 1/4 inches high and is 1 1/2 inches in diameter. The mark on the bottom is not readable anymore but has the red outline that several companies from Germany used. Both companies were unknown. Cup and pig are in good condition with a bit of wear to the gold paint. Not bad for its age. This is a real cutie.
