The creamery was started in 1893 in the UK by Shortland Aplin and his partner H.W.Barrett. They became one of the largest producers of dairy products in the region. This is a glazed stoneware creamer with the Aplin and Barrett logo impressed in the pottery. Full impression reads, Western Counties Creameries, Aplin & Barrett, Yeovil, Marston, and Westbury. The creamer measures, 3 5/8 inches tall and almost 3 inches wide including the handle. The creamer's deep gold and rich brown make this very visually pleasing. Extra nice piece of vintage stoneware.
