This is a vintage WH Grindley ironstone small oval platter with a transfer decal of colorful pheasants. The rim is blue with gold trim. The platter is 11 3/4" x 9 7/8." It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The platter has two backstamps. The first is underglaze in green and reads Satin White Staffordshire Ironstone W.H. Grindley & Co Ltd England. The second is black, stamped over glaze and reads Broadhurst Bros Burslem.
