This is a pair of vintage Wheelabrator-Frye cast iron bookends. Wheelabrator is a company in Mishawaka, Indiana. These bookends have the Wheelabrator-Frye name embossed on the base, the tall piece features the foundry scene called "the Molder" of a metalworker pouring molten metal into a mold. The bookends are each 5" wide and 6 1/2" tall. I think they may be cast steel with a dark coating, there are places on the base where the coating is ground off and steel shines through. AVS.
