This is a UHL Pottery maroon or burgundy red bean pot. UHL Pottery was in Huntingburg, Indiana from 1908-1944. The shape of this bean pot looks like it was from the 1930s-40s. It is in very good to excellent condition. There are no chips or cracks to the pottery, but there is crazing to the interior white glaze, and a chip to the outer glaze. The pot is 6 7/8" wide at the mouth, 8" wide at the shoulder. The base has a stamped black mark "UHL Pottery Huntingburg, Ind." The mark is faded and difficult to read.
