This is an antique porcelain serving bowl. There is a transfer decoration of pink flowers in the center. The bowl is white with embossed scallops and flowers around the rim. It is hand painted with blue and gold details. The bowl is 8 1/4" wide. It is marked Weimar Germany in a green shield on the back. The back has a spiderweb crack that is visible but can't be felt, even with a fingernail. This mark uses the shield of the Weimar Dukes and was first used in 1905. The company that used the Weimar mark in the early 1900s was Dux Porzellanmanufaktur, that same company is known today as Weimar Porzellan G.m.b.H.
