This is a Nippon Hand Painted art deco sugar bowl. The bowl is white with a wide black band embellished with roses in yellow, pink, and dark red, along with gold details. The gold is mostly worn off the handles, and there is a small chip on the inner top rim of the sugar. It is 6 1/2" wide across the handles and 3 3/4" tall. The Nippon mark on the base is Patten's number 10, a green crown with Nippon in green and Hand Painted in red. This mark was used from 1891-1921.
