This is an antique coin silver tablespoon marked J Peters & Co Standard on the back. The spoon is 7 1/2" long and 24g. It is in excellent condition. James Peters was a Philadelphia area silversmith in the early 1800s. This shape of spoon with the very pointed tip was made by him in the 1830s. The spoon is in excellent condition with light wear, there ae scratches and scuffs but no real damage. No splits or dents. There is a monogram on the handle, looks like EET. MBR.
