This is a group of three framed prints by Lucien Francois Penet, a French painter and reproductive printmaker who lived from 1834-1901. All three of these seem to be from a series of children themed art. One is captioned "Le langage des Fleurs" and features a boy and girl next to a tree. The next is "pour le Salon" and has the same children gathering flowers together in a garden. The third is captioned "Le Bruit de la Mer" has the children in a garden, wearing the same clothes, although the boy's tricorner hat is upside down in the corner. All three are hand tinted with pale yellow and pink. Each print is framed, 7 5/8" c 9 5/8." The frames are wood and gilded, the gold paint is coming off at the edges. I have not taken any out of the frame for further investigation. I believe these are prints from etchings.
